Sheridan Center for Learning

Tutoring 

  • The Sheridan Center is offering free peer tutoring for select courses throughout the 2020-21 academic year. Tutoring has already begun for the Fall semester, and time slots are available every day from 8 AM to midnight EDT.

Writing

  • The Writer Center will be open to help students craft, organize, and polish writing pieces, from essays to stories to research papers. Appointments will be offered Sunday through Thursday from 8-11am and 3-6pm, conducted by Zoom. 

Conversation Partners Program

  • Pairs members of the Brown community with diverse language backgrounds for regular conversation in English and cultural exchange. Registration for the Fall 2020 semester is now open! Please email english-support@brown.edu if you are interested!

Sarah Doyle Women’s Center

The Sarah Doyle Center is a site for research into and exploration of gender issues pertinent to the classroom and beyond.

Brown Center for Students of Color (BCSC)

  • BCSC staff are available virtually to provide support! (Email, Zoom, Skype, and phone from 8:00AM - 4:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday)

      • Services include but are not limited to: Crisis support, safety planning, holistic student development, social justice education, culturally relevant community building and programming.
